# How can I disable 2-step verification?

The user can enable/disable the two-stage verification only if it is not mandatory for everyone. This option is set by the administrator.

For disabling two-step verification, click on the _"Two-step verification"_ line on the **"Security"** page of the **BES** solution and turn off the switcher. 

Then open the _Google Authenticator_ application on your mobile device and write down the code in the _"Security code"_ field.

Click the **"Apply"** button and the two-step verification will be disabled again and the backup codes will not be available.
