Service hints: fast and effective training of using BI Dashboards
BI Dashboards is a multifunctional analytical solution that allows users to create a variety of customized dashboards. To quickly understand its functionality and practical application, you can view the tutorial or go through a step-by-step training tour "Service hints".
You can access the tour from any page in the BI Dashboards solution. To do this, click on the "? Knowledge" (in the upper right panel) and select "Service hints" from the pop-up list.
Note! For a user who logs into BI Dashboards for the first time, the tour will start automatically and will include all parts of it.
The tour is divided into three parts that can be selected from the pop-up panel:
Start page - opens the BI Dashboards start page and shows you how to get started in the solution and how to create a new dashboard group.
Creating visualization - opens the page for creating a visualization and gives tips on what steps and in what sequence to perform to create your own visualization.
Editing dashboard - opens the dashboard editing page and explains how visualizations can be modified on dashboards.
After selecting the necessary part of the tour, you must click the "Start the tour" button and start passing it.
All hints are completed using a pulsing circle, after clicking on which a description of the next action appears.

step 1 - selecting and dragging metrics into blocks (columns, rows, body).
step 2 - selecting and dragging dimensions into blocks (filters, columns, lines).
step 3 - setting the period for generating visualization data (period and previous period).
step 4 - select the visualization type on the right panel of the visualization creation page.
step 5 - visualization setup (legend, data labels, style, etc.).
step 6 - saving the created visualization.
Each step taken during the passage of this part of the tour will teach the user to independently build visualizations according to their own goals.
This part of the tour introduces the user to how the dashboard and visualizations can be edited. It includes five steps:
step 1 - change the name of the dashboard;
step 2 - moving the visualization on the dashboard;
step 3 - editing visualization dimensions;
step 4 - setting up visualization filters;
step 5 - save the dashboard.
To go to the next step, you must perform the actions and press the "Forward (2/4)" button (in brackets, the left number indicates the number of the current step, and the right - the total number of steps of the tour). To return to the previous step, you need to click the "Back" button.
At the last step of the tour, by clicking on the "Finish (4/4)" button, the user returns to the normal mode of the solution.
