Why doesn't work two-step verification?
There are several reasons for this:
- The user doesn't have time enough to enter the temporary code generated by Google Authenticator.
- Errors were entering the code.
- Google Authenticator has not been updated, so the code is outdated.
Follow these steps to correct this situation:
- If the application generates outdated code and needs to be updated, you need to reinstall it.
- Enter code immediately as soon as the application generates it.
- Check that you have entered the generated code correctly.
- Use backup codes that have been pre-generated on the "Security" _ page. To do this select _"Use backup code" and enter one of the ten generated backup codes. The code can only be used once. After using the code, it disappears from the list.
- Send a two-step verification to reset the message. To do this, click on the link "Lost access to the Google Authenticator app?". Follow the link to enter your email address and send a request to the administrator to restore access to your account. The received message with the link will be valid for 7 days.
